Gavault is the second Act 1 main branch in the Sovereign Tower demo, added alongside Groveshire when Wild Wits refreshed the preview for Steam Next Fest. Where Groveshire emphasizes forest diplomacy and Wit checks, Gavault pushes martial quests, intrigue, and assignments where Strength, Agility, and Magic surface more often than pure Charisma speeches.

Visit the blacksmith forge annex when available — Gavault failures hurt more when gear is default. Crafted weapons from Annexes appear in Items lists and effectively raise Strength margins.

Lady Alwena’s investigations matter for duelists: knowing Gwendan’s arrogance or Goberto’s hunt preference prevents sending them into Magic ritual quests they hate.

Gavault runs feel “sharp” because three factions can drop simultaneously after one botched assignment. Mitigate with potions from witch alchemy and pre-investigation via Lady Alwena.

Side content compatibility

Gavault does not lock optional demo routes:

• Goose Quest — still audience-driven; recruit Chester with Angelica/Gwendan sends.
• Beast Hunt — martial players often arrive prepared; choose kill vs recruit paths for Sparky, Rufus, or Silgur.

Schedule hunts on days without stacked Gavault main assignments to avoid double failures.
