Sovereign Tower How to Recruit Edith

Ask Medea the dragon-and-spells question, then hire Avalon’s mystical knight

Last updated:

How to Get Edith

Edith of Avalon is the Act 3 magic hire you lose by asking Countess Medea about taxes instead of dragons and spells. Wild Wits hides her behind a single Moonvale audience line. Miss it and you can still spend 25 funds in the Map Room for “the mystical knight.” Curve Games launched the full game on August 6, 2026; August 12 community lists still treat that question as the cheap, clean path.

Act 3 spoilers for Moonvale / Avalon politics. Pair this page with Act 3 Walkthrough and How to Get Victoria so two late prizes do not collide on the same ten seats.

What Edith offers

Community sheets place Edith near Strength 7 / Agility 10 / Charisma 3 / Magic 12 / Wits 7 / Luck 0, armor 7, level 8 — a Magic / Agility specialist with no Luck cushion.

  • Perfume — cannot change relic; Diplomacy bonus. Starting relic Dainself.
  • Syphon — used by quest outcomes and dialogue (including the Something’s Wrong achievement beat when her nature shifts).
  • Possessed Sword (hidden) — small score bonus on completed quests that kill humans.
  • Demonic Presence (hidden) — bonus on Ghost and Magic Involved.
  • Likes Relic Recovery (hidden like: Magic Ritual); dislikes Assassination (hidden dislike: Duel).
  • Favourite meals — Croque-Monsieur and Brizhian Butter Shortbread (Cooking).
  • Ending slides can change with character evolution, not only with your main ending (Endings Guide).

She is the knight you send when Avalon starts talking about baby dragons, ghosts, and rituals — the same neighbourhood Arron’s Moonvale evolutions live in.

Step-by-step recruitment

  1. Reach Act 3 far enough for the first Moonvale audience with Countess Medea.
  2. Ask the line community guides quote: By any chance, is there a knight in your area who knows a thing or two about dragons and spells?
  3. Edith becomes available. Hire her from the resulting offer or from the Map Room if the conversation pointed you there.
  4. Budget 25 funds for the fallback if you missed the question — Map Room Hiring.
  5. Confirm a free seat under the Act 3 cap of ten. Victoria’s trials, Ari, Epicrate, and Gothild all want chairs the same act.

If Medea’s first audience already passed, rewind to that morning with the Demon rather than hoping a later tax talk repeats the prompt (Time Rewind).

Using Edith after she joins

Relic Recovery, Ghost, and Magic Ritual cards are her honest work. Assassination and Duel are where Possessed Sword’s flavour fights her listed dislikes — do not assume a demonic sword wants every murder contract.

Watch for the Something’s Wrong story beat. Edith can change. Treat that as a feature of Avalon writing, not a bug, and keep Knight Loyalty open if affinity wobbles after the shift.

Feed Croque-Monsieur before Moonvale dragon cards. Luck 0 means Quest Scoring will not bail you out of a coin-flip.

Edith versus other Act 3 hires

  • Victoria is the stat monster behind Enberg trials — Get Victoria.
  • Ari is the Basalt griffin scout — Get Ari.
  • Epicrate is the Brimwood serpent politician — Get Epicrate.
  • Gothild is the Enberg bodyguard tied to Victoria’s murder thread — Get Gothild.

You will not seat all of them. Decide whether you need Magic coverage (Edith) or raw totals (Victoria) before you spend the tenth chair.

Common failures

  • Never asking Medea about dragons and spells — the cheap flag never flips.
  • Spending 25 funds too late with an empty Treasury after pirate repairs.
  • No free seat after welcoming Victoria.
  • Sending Edith on Assassination week because the sword looks scary.
  • Get Arron — Moonvale baby-dragon overlap.
  • Golden Key — another Act 3 chase that wants healthy magic knights.
  • Knight Roster — who else is still missing.
  • Guides Hub — View all when the PC dropdown truncates.

Edith is Avalon answering a specific question. Ask Medea about dragons and spells, leave a chair, and keep Shortbread next to the Croque-Monsieur.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How do you recruit Edith in Sovereign Tower?

At Countess Medea’s first Moonvale audience, ask if a local knight knows dragons and spells. Hire her from the offer or the Map Room for 25 funds.

What if I already finished Medea’s first audience?

Rewind to that morning with the Demon. Later tax talks do not reliably repeat the dragon-and-spells prompt.

What meals does Edith like?

Croque-Monsieur and Brizhian Butter Shortbread. See the Cooking guide.

Is Edith the same as Victoria?

No. Edith is Avalon’s mystical knight. Victoria is Enberg’s trial prodigy. They compete for Act 3 seats but use different audiences.
