Act 2 Walkthrough

Act 2 is where Sovereign Tower stops feeling like an extended demo. Wild Wits raises the Round Table cap from six to eight, introduces the preventable corridor murder, and opens recruit gates for Ligia, Zolta, Childeric, Gideon, and more. Curve Games launched the full campaign on August 6, 2026; treat this page as a spoiler-aware orientation hub, not a cycle-by-cycle script for every branch.

If you are still in Act 1, finish Early Cycles, your Groveshire or Gavault route, and Beat the Dragon Knight first — Arron’s intro often bridges the acts.

Opening the act — systems that change

  • Roster cap 8 — plan which Act 1 secrets (Chester, Wolf, Brunhilda, Dulahan, Alwena) still deserve chairs.
  • Higher quest bands — Patch 1.0.8 buffed Acts 2–3 items, reduced weaker-stat penalties, and increased overlevel bonuses (Patch 1.0.8).
  • Forge economy — cheaper repairs help after murder investigations and joust injuries.
  • Demon literacy — Act 2 assumes you will rewind with purpose, not panic (Time Rewind).

Mandatory story beat — the murder loop

Do not treat Alwena’s noise complaint as flavor. Follow the full prevention chain on Stop the Act 2 Murder:

  1. Let the crime happen once.
  2. Investigate and confront for A Traitor.
  3. Rewind to the new “I know who is responsible” option.
  4. Save your knight — critical if you still want Golden Key Path of the Pure.

Recruit checklist (Act 2)

  • Gideon — spontaneous court glory-seeker; 25-fund Map Room fallback.
  • Ligia — lamp deadline; update past choice-lock bugs via 1.0.8.
  • Childeric — win Almor joust; do not send Goberto — Get Childeric.
  • Tarcus — Gavault investigations, then swear you will stop Brunhilda — Get Tarcus.
  • Zolta — Kutnar cheat with Tarcus or clean win with The Wolf — Get Zolta.
  • Oliver — only if you spared the prologue attacker (candidacy near Cycle 19) — Get Oliver.
  • Daguez — can also appear from deep unrest into Act 3; knight a rebel, do not execute — Get Daguez.

Cross-link Get Chester, Get The Wolf, and Get Arron if any Act 1 leftovers still sit undone.

Faction and alliance pressure

Act 2 multiplies county diplomacy. Keep Merchants, Mystics, Scholars, Nobles, and People off revolt floors unless you want Daguez. Use Factions, Alliances, and the Faction Balance Tracker. Neglect here feeds both murder stress and emergency quest piles (Emergency Quests).

Suggested Act 2 order (flexible)

  1. Stabilize forge, kitchen, and Intendant habits.
  2. Run the murder investigate → rewind → prevent loop early before romance affinity spikes worse.
  3. Clear Ligia’s lamp on a quiet three-cycle window.
  4. Schedule Kutnar / Zolta away from pirate emergencies.
  5. Take the Almor joust when your Agility / Strength package is ready.
  6. Leave two seats of slack for surprise court walk-ins.

How this page stays honest

Sovereign Tower branches hard. We will not invent a single “correct” Act 2 novelization. When guides disagree after a patch, prefer Steam news and in-game text, then update JSON sources — never hand-edit generated MDX.

Act 2 is the mid-reign stress test: eight chairs, one traitor, and a Demon who finally expects homework.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

When does Act 2 start in Sovereign Tower?

After Act 1 climax beats such as the Dragon Knight confrontation. The table cap rises to eight and the traitor murder thread becomes available.

What should I prioritize in Act 2?

Prevent the murder with a proper investigate-and-rewind loop, then clear timed recruits like Ligia before stacking Kutnar and pirate emergencies.

Does Patch 1.0.8 change Act 2?

Yes — item buffs, scoring tweaks, cheaper forge repairs, Ligia choice-lock fix, and Grest pirate +1 cycle all land in Act 2-relevant systems.

Can I recruit every Act 2 knight in one save?

Unlikely. The eight-seat cap and branch exclusivity still force choices — plan across NG+.
