Sovereign Tower How to Unlock The Wolf

Tame the Almor werewolf with Angelica, then choose fur or Rufus

Last updated:

How to Get The Wolf

The Wolf arrives as an animal Angelica refused to kill — then asks, somehow, for a Round Table seat. In Sovereign Tower he is both a recruit and a transformation puzzle: keep him as the GOOD BOY knight, or let Belladonna cure him into Rufus. Wild Wits and Curve Games shipped this branch with the August 6, 2026 Steam launch; community guides still agree the unlock sits on Angelica + Fight the Werewolf in Almor.

Heavy spoilers follow. Pair with Beast Hunt and Secret Knights when comparing Silgur’s kill route.

Unlock route — Angelica tames the werewolf

  1. Progress the Groveshire / Almor beast material until Fight the Werewolf (or the equivalent Almor trophy hunt) appears on the Round Table.
  2. Assign Angelica specifically. Other knights usually produce a standard kill and a wolf-skin relic — no talking recruit.
  3. Secure the special tamed outcome. Angelica’s Animal Lover trait is the narrative reason the game allows mercy here.
  4. Accept The Wolf when he follows her home and requests knighthood. Keep a free seat under the act cap.

This path conflicts with pure Kill the Beast → Silgur fantasies on the same save without Demon help. Choose Wolf for Kind-tone, hunt-leaning chaos; choose Silgur for Magic-forward Beaconsbury politics — Act 1 Groveshire.

Character sheet (community)

Approximate base line: Strength 3, Agility 7, Charisma 3, Magic 3, Wits 7, Luck 1. Liked quest tags often include Hunt, Assassination, and Relic Recovery; Magic-involved cards are disliked. Favourite meals: Galette Saucisse and Croque Monsieur. Prefers Kind rulers and dislikes Tyrannic tones — Sovereign Archetypes.

Affinity scenes that matter

One-heart greeting

Warm lines (“still following me around”) raise affinity and Kind. Cynical “mutt” insults cost affinity and push Tyrannic. Treat him like a knight who happens to have fur — the game tracks the difference.

Two-heart Belladonna exam

The Witch examines him on an alchemy table. Approaching silently is a large affinity spike. When she implies intelligence under the fur, the fatal fork appears:

  • Cure him → he becomes Rufus permanently. Wolf traits (WOLF, GOOD BOY) vanish; stats and meals rewrite toward the human noble sheet.
  • Refuse (“He’s fine as he is”) → he stays The Wolf for the rest of the run.

There is no path that keeps both identities at once. The game does not billboard this as a point of no return — read carefully. Later, a Magic-heavy Remove the Curse / Groveshire curse quest with Belladonna is also cited as the Rufus transformation beat when Wolf is already rostered — cross-check Knight Roster if your build uses the quest form instead of the heart scene.

Should you cure him?

Keep The WolfCure into Rufus
Hunt / predator fantasyHuman dialogue and romance texture
GOOD BOY memes and Kind synergyDifferent stat spread for late Magic / Wit cards
Unique table presenceLoses wolf traits forever

Neither choice is “wrong.” Cure if you want Rufus’s story; refuse if you recruited him for the animal knight fantasy. Cooking tables list matching meals for both forms — Cooking.

Common failures

  • Sending anyone but Angelica on the werewolf fight.
  • Choosing Silgur’s kill outcome on the broader beast line without a rewind plan.
  • Missing the cure fork by mashing dialogue.
  • No free seat when the tame succeeds.
  • Tyrannic spam that tanks affinity toward resignation (−7 threshold on Knight Loyalty).

The Wolf is the tower’s reminder that mercy can recruit what violence only skins. Send Angelica, listen at the Witch’s table, and decide whether your Round Table wants a knight — or a very good boy.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How do you unlock The Wolf in Sovereign Tower?

Send Angelica on Fight the Werewolf in Almor to earn the special tamed outcome, then accept him at the Round Table.

How does The Wolf become Rufus?

During Belladonna’s examination (or the related Groveshire curse-removal quest), agree to cure him. Refusing keeps the wolf form.

Can I have both The Wolf and Silgur?

Not on one linear beast outcome. Use Demon rewinds or separate runs — see Beast Hunt and Secret Knights.

What meals does The Wolf like?

Galette Saucisse and Croque Monsieur. Rufus shares that kitchen profile after the cure.
