Sovereign Tower Knight Transformations and Evolutions

Reforms, bodies, curses, and exclusive story rewrites after launch

Knight Transformations Hub

Several Sovereign Tower knights are not finished when they sit down. Wild Wits wrote story evolutions that rewrite stats, traits, meals, and even whether a special quest outcome still fires. Curve Games launched the solo Round Table RPG on August 6, 2026. Mid-August community sheets now name the major rewrites: Gwendan (Reformed / Repaid / Magic), Dulahan (human body or cursed helmet), Arron (Kind dragonheir or Brutal ritual), The Wolf → Rufus, Goberto (Almor Perfect Armour), Oliver (Magic Degree), and Ursula (Corruption). This hub is the index. Dedicated recruit pages stay on Guides Hub so the PC Knights dropdown stays at eight rows.

Heavy spoilers below. If you only want unlocks, stay on Recruit Knights and Secret Knights. Pair this page with Knight Attributes, Cooking, and Quest Types.

How an evolution differs from a recruit

A recruit adds a chair. An evolution changes the person already sitting there. Most evolutions are exclusive or one-way. Arron’s Kind and Violent paths refuse to coexist. Dulahan’s human body and cursed helmet are different vessels. Gwendan’s Reformed and Repaid share a debt story but are not the same ending. Treat each rewrite as a save-file decision, not a checklist you finish on one reign — the Act 3 seat cap is still ten, and you still cannot dismiss anyone.

Evolutions usually come from affinity conversations, knight-specific quests, or county special outcomes, not from the Map Room. If a rewrite fails, the Demon rewind is the undo — not a second button on the glossary.

Gwendan — Reformed, Repaid, Magic

Gwendan of Villador arrives on Cycle 3 with Noble Soul, Arrogant, hidden In Debt, Seductive, and Fear of the Dark. Starting sheet community lists: 5 / 4 / 8 / 2 / 3 / 1 with 6 armour. He likes Wise tone and Competition; he dislikes Relic Recovery and secretly Assassination. Feed Crêpe or Croque-Monsieur.

Reformed is the prize. Raise affinity through meals, liked quests, and free-time talks. A debt collector appears. When the debt is raised with you, let him leave the table to pay it. Reformed grants STR +2, WIT +1, CHA +1, removes Noble Soul / Arrogant / Fear of the Dark / In Debt, adds True Noble Soul (score reads all satisfaction categories, not only Nobility), and switches off his three bad special outcomes. Step-by-step: Reform Gwendan.

Repaid only clears In Debt. The ego and the dark-cave penalty stay. A separate narrative fork grants +8 Magic (2 → 10). Patch 1.0.8 made Gwendan mortal like everyone else — older “he cannot die” notes are wrong. Repair his thin armour early at Carina’s Forge.

Dulahan — two bodies

Dulahan arrives two cycles after Goberto dies. Intangible halves damage; Clumsy punishes failures. He eats all six Kitchen dishes.

PathHowWhat you get
Human bodySend him on Almor’s Political prisoner fightingCHA +3, WIT +3, +1 max armour
Cursed helmetComplete his knight quest New vessel for DulahanSTR +3, AGI +3, MAG +3, CHA −7, WIT −7

Human body is the court face. Cursed helmet is a combat monster who should never open a diplomacy card. Unlock route: How to Get Dulahan.

Arron — Kind heir or Brutal ritual

Arron joins after you beat the Dragon Knight. The two paths are exclusive.

Kind: send him on Moonvale’s Stop the baby dragon or Tame the baby dragon while he is still Neutral — or take the dragon egg in dialogue, after which the change fires when he finishes any quest. STR +1, CHA +3, MAG +5, WIT +1; gains Baby dragon relic and Dragon Knight; loses Timid.

Violent: complete his knight quest unlocked by holding a Dragon Heart. STR +2, AGI +1, CHA +1, MAG +3; gains Brutal; loses Timid; meals and resignation scenes change. Full recruit notes: How to Get Arron.

The Wolf and Rufus

The Wolf is not a second early hire sitting beside Rufus. Send Angelica on Almor’s werewolf / beast card for the tamed special outcome. Later, complete Groveshire’s Remove the Curse (Magic-heavy) with Witch Belladona to turn Wolf back into Rufus. Same meals (Galette-Saucisse, Croque-Monsieur), same Kind preference. Wolf Habits on Rufus shortens quests by one cycle. See How to Get The Wolf and Beast Hunt.

Goberto — Almor Perfect Armour

Send Goberto on The great duel (Almor tournament final versus Childeric) without having completed Fight the dragon as your stage-2 trial. Community sheets list STR +2, AGI +2, CHA +5, MAG +4, LCK +4, max armour 7 → 17, and Perfect Armour: other party members take zero damage while he absorbs his share plus 75% of theirs. That rewrite also steals the Childeric recruit if you wanted both on one save — How to Get Childeric.

Oliver — Magic Degree

Spare the prologue attacker. Oliver asks for work around Cycle 19. Completing Magic Degree (Steam Graduated!) moves Magic 3 → 11. Keep him on short cards; Overworked punishes long escorts. How to Get Oliver.

Ursula — Corruption

Ursula can return after death (Immortal). Every death raises a corruption count. The third applies STR +4, MAG +6, AGI −4, CHA −15, WIT −15. From the first death onward her armour halves every cycle and her level stops. Facing the Kingslayer can flag her fully corrupted immediately. This is a story weapon, not a default upgrade — Knight Loyalty and Romance both break if you treat her as disposable XP.

Planning a transformation reign

  1. Pick one exclusive rewrite per chair before Act 2 fills eight seats.
  2. Cook the meals that keep affinity off the −7 resignation line while you wait for the story beat.
  3. Park Intendant scans on hidden traits that gate the rewrite (Intendant).
  4. Do not start Gwendan’s debt week on the same morning as an emergency.
  5. Record the flag. A Demon rewind that misses the conversation also misses the body.

Sovereign Tower rewards rulers who finish a knight’s story, not just their candidacy. Leave the chair, cook the dish, and decide which face you want at Cycle 45.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Which Sovereign Tower knights can transform?

Community sheets confirm story rewrites for Gwendan, Dulahan, Arron, The Wolf/Rufus, Goberto, Oliver, and Ursula. See each section above and [Reform Gwendan](/guides/reform-gwendan/).

Can I get every transformation on one save?

No. Arron’s paths are exclusive, Goberto’s Almor armour conflicts with a clean Childeric recruit, and the ten-seat Act 3 cap still applies.

Is Gwendan still immortal?

No. Patch 1.0.8 made his death rules match other knights. Repair armour and keep him off Cave / At Night cards until Reformed.

Is Rufus a separate recruit from The Wolf?

Rufus is The Wolf after Belladona lifts the curse. You do not hire both as independent early chairs.
