Sovereign Tower How to Get Silgur
Kill-the-Beast Groveshire route for Beaconsbury’s hunter knight
Silgur of Beaconsbury is the lethal answer to Act 1’s beast problem in Sovereign Tower. Wild Wits hides him behind a Kill the Beast resolution on the Groveshire hunt track, then an audience once the Count pledges alliance. Curve Games launched the full campaign on August 6, 2026; community sheets still treat this as mutually exclusive with Sparky’s tame/special Angelica outcome on the same linear hunt. Compare branches on Beast Hunt and Secret Knights before you spend Angelica’s Animal Lover week on the wrong prize.
This page is the dedicated recruit checklist. Use it when you already understand the daily loop from How to Play and you are ready to pick a corpse over a companion.
Why Silgur is worth a chair
Silgur is a martial payoff: hunt tags, Strength-forward sends, and a political thank-you from Beaconsbury after the Count’s alliance beat. He is not a diplomat. Park him on Hunt, Confrontation, and Duel-adjacent cards; keep him off crowd-festival diplomacy that Angelica or Ligia would rather own. Favourite meals are Galette Saucisse and Crêpe — cook after the Kitchen unlock around Dragon Knight prep pacing (Cooking, Early Cycles).
He counts against Act 1’s six seats. You cannot dismiss him later. If Chester, Wolf, Brunhilda, and Alwena are also in the plan, Silgur is the hunter you take instead of Sparky, not in addition — unless you Demon-rewind the hunt (Time Rewind).
Step-by-step recruitment
- Progress Groveshire-facing hunt material until Kill the Beast (or the equivalent lethal hunt card) appears. Gavault-first saves can still see the hunt, but Silgur’s alliance flavour sits with Beaconsbury / Groveshire politics — Act 1 Groveshire.
- Assign a combat-forward knight who can pass Strength / hunt checks. Goberto and a reformed Gwendan are common tools; do not send Angelica if you want the kill ending.
- Choose kill / execute resolution text, not tame, traces, or Angelica communion.
- Finish the Count’s alliance follow-up so Silgur has a political reason to walk into your audience chamber.
- Accept with a free seat. A full table silently drops the offer.
Failed hunts rarely grant partial recruits. Buff with forge gear after Patch 1.0.8 repair-cost cuts and meals that add +0.5 quest score (Quest Scoring).
Exclusive forks you must not mix up
| Outcome | Recruit | Typical send |
|---|---|---|
| Lethal kill + Count alliance | Silgur | Combat knight, no Angelica |
| Angelica tame / special | Sparky | Angelica — Get Sparky |
| Almor werewolf mercy | The Wolf | Angelica on Fight the Werewolf — Get Wolf |
| Magical traces (demo-era notes) | Often not Silgur | Different investigation flavour |
The Wolf and Silgur both eat Groveshire hunt attention. Plan one primary beast identity per timeline unless you are collecting via crypt rewinds.
Round Table habits after he joins
Feed Galette or Crêpe before high-risk hunt weeks. Scan traits with the Intendant so hidden dislikes do not turn a Great Success into a major fail. Use the Quest Matcher when Act 2 scoring bands climb after Patch 1.0.8 weaker-stat penalty reductions — Silgur still wants honest Strength, not wishful Charisma.
Keep People and Merchants from collapsing if the kill angered Mystics who wanted a live study. Log the swing on the Faction Tracker.
Common failures
- Sending Angelica and accidentally taking Sparky’s fork.
- Killing the beast but skipping the Count alliance audience.
- No free chair under the six-cap.
- Staging the hunt during a pirate emergency — finish harbour timers first (Grest Pirates).
- Expecting Silgur from the Almor werewolf trophy; that is Wolf / Rufus territory.

Silgur is Beaconsbury’s steel handshake: kill the beast, take the Count’s thanks, and leave a chair for the hunter who does not flinch.
Frequently Asked Questions

How do you recruit Silgur in Sovereign Tower?
Complete Kill the Beast as a lethal Groveshire hunt (not a tame), finish the Count’s alliance beat, then accept Silgur with a free Round Table seat.
What meals does Silgur like?
Galette Saucisse and Crêpe. Serve them after the Kitchen unlock — [Cooking](/guides/cooking/).
Can I recruit Silgur and Sparky together?
Not on one linear hunt. Use Demon rewinds or a second reign. See [Beast Hunt](/walkthrough/beast-hunt/).
Does Silgur use a Map Room hire?
No. He is a story recruit after the kill and alliance. Seat caps still apply — [Recruit Knights](/guides/recruit-knights/).
