Sovereign Tower How to Romance Ursula

Ursula of Mossgart (Kitchen tables often spell Ursule) is the Audacious romance that punishes polygamy hardest in Sovereign Tower. Her multi-romance penalty of -20 can wipe a full positive affinity bar in one mistake. She joins automatically around Cycle 5 (Get Ursula), likes Préfou and Lion’s Taco, and expects bold sovereign tone rather than Kind therapy scripts. Wild Wits and Curve Games launched on August 6, 2026. Patch 1.0.9 (13 August) still requires her intervention before certain Demon Lock dialogues — keep her alive, loyal, and physically present at the crypt beat (Patch Notes 1.0.9, Time Rewind).

Affinity plan

Affinity is invisible and runs roughly -10 to +10 facing players. Favourite meals add about +1.5. Liked quest types add about +1.33. Disliked types subtract about -0.75. Resignation threatens near -7 (Knight Loyalty). Ursula’s -20 multi-romance hit is larger than the entire visible bar — courting Angelica, Gideon, Ligia, Oliver, or the Lady after her can delete the route overnight.

Practical sequence:

1. Single-target only until Love Is All or her chambers scene resolves (Achievements).
2. Unlock the Kitchen and serve Préfou / Lion’s Taco on her weeks.
3. Prefer Audacious audience answers when Sovereign Archetypes offer a tone choice.
4. Investigate covert traits via the Intendant so you stop sending her on cards she secretly hates.
5. If you later romance the Lady of the Tower, expect jealousy resignation reports. Neoseeker players described pre-dismiss then Map Room re-invite workarounds — build-dependent, not a promise (Romance Lady, Map Room Hiring).

Heart and pink dialogue

Keep selecting heart-marked lines in morning and afternoon free time until the chambers / retire-together scene. Flirts without affinity still appear; completion needs the meter. Spam-clicking pink options on a -2 bar will not finish Love Is All. Cook first, assign liked intrigue cards second, flirt third.

Patch 1.0.9 omni-fast forward stays on across choices. Turn it off for her free-time scenes so you do not skip the heart line (Controls). Rufus’s looping stables were a different 1.0.9 fix; Ursula’s issue was scene order at Demon Lock, not a stables loop.

Demon Lock and Act antagonists

Official 1.0.9 notes say Ursula’s intervention after her personal quest against the Kingslayer / Demon Lock now triggers before the lock dialogue. If you parked her on a three-cycle hunt during that week, she cannot speak. Keep her home. King Slayer context: King Slayer.

An act antagonist confrontation could be skipped before 1.0.9, leaving a rival absent from the audience chamber. Update the client, then confirm she is still seated before you blame RNG.

Jealousy versus other Audacious targets

Brunhilda also likes Audacious tone (Romance Brunhilda). Gideon’s penalty is -18. Running two Audacious romances is how players screenshot empty bars. Finish Ursula, or finish Brunhilda, or finish Gideon — pick one hammer.

Act 2’s traitor still prefers the lowest affinity starter, but a courted Ursula can die if you skip Stop the Act 2 Murder. Heart events the same week Alwena reports midnight noise are a bad idea.
