Sovereign Tower Launch Recap

August 6 release, critic scores, intro sale, and what to play first

Launch Recap — Available Now

Sovereign Tower is available now. Wild Wits and Curve Games launched the solo Round Table RPG on 6 August 2026 for Windows, macOS, and SteamOS via Steam app 4113940. Steam news opened with SOVEREIGN TOWER IS AVAILABLE NOW! after a One Day Until the Round Table Opens countdown. This page is the buy-window recap: price, platforms, reception, and which wiki hubs to open after you install — not a second copy of every patch note.

Introductory pricing has been about $19.99 with a ~15% launch discount through 20 August 2026. Confirm the live Steam widget; sales end on store time, not wiki time. A supporter bundle adds soundtrack and artbook. The Act 0–1 demo (app 4422320) remains free and does not officially transfer saves.

What launched

  • Acts 0–3 plus New Game Plus after the Demon satisfaction prompt.
  • Roster seat caps 6 / 8 / 10 by act; no dismiss.
  • 75 Steam achievements, including Love Is All and Path of the Pure.
  • Steam Deck Verified handheld support.
  • In-game languages including English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese (voice coverage may differ).
  • Guest Bard Hildegard Von Blingin and G4F Records OST tracks — Soundtrack.

Curve’s January 2026 announce and June date lock are history; the product you buy is the August 6 client plus patches 1.0.8 (11 Aug) and 1.0.9 (13 Aug).

Reception snapshot (mid-August)

Launch-week outlets logged Metacritic 86. Steam sat Very Positive at about 91% of roughly 1,579 purchaser reviews as of 16 August 2026 (opening-day spikes near 96% were a spike, not the later ratio). Treat those numbers as dated; refresh Steam before you quote them in 2027.

On 13 August the studio also posted Praise From The Realm & Other Matters of Knightly Importance next to the 1.0.9 notes — a courtly thank-you / reception beat, not a new chapter. Gameplay impact still lives in Patch 1.0.9 and Known Issues.

Play order after purchase

  1. How to Play and Controls — including 1.0.9 omni-fast forward.
  2. Difficulty Tips — Sovereign Mode and the ten-chair cap.
  3. Early Cycles then Dragon Knight Ultimatum.
  4. Cooking once the Kitchen opens.
  5. Secret hunts only after seats exist — Secret Knights.

Full-campaign owners should keep King Slayer, Yohav and Enberg, and Endings Guide for Act 2–3.

Platforms and what is not in the box

Steam lists Windows, macOS, and SteamOS. No console SKU, solo-only, no redeemable item codes. “Codes” search traffic belongs to other games. If a YouTube thumbnail promises cheat codes, close it.

Pre-launch Steam news such as More Servants Of The Tower and Meet The Servants still describe Alwena, Carina, Rowan, Belladonna, and the Lady — now playable, documented on Tower Servants.

Critic quotes from launch week praised knight comedy and assignment tension, then warned that faction neglect still snowballs. That is why this wiki’s first-week path is loop literacy, not secret-knight speedrunning. If you only have a weekend, finish Dragon Knight prep and Kitchen snacks before you open Enberg.

Buy if the demo’s Round Table comedy hooked you. Patch to 1.0.9, keep a spare save for Yorhav, and spend the intro discount before 20 August 2026 if the widget still shows it.
