Sovereign Tower South Bay and the Wish-Granting Lamp
Save Yannis, recover the lamp, recruit Ligia, and keep the county alliance
South Bay (store and UI text also write Southbay) is the coastal county chain that turns a stolen legend into a recruit, an alliance, and a family you can still fail. Wild Wits hides the wish-granting lamp behind investigation cards, a harbour auction, and a three-cycle expedition to Djinn Island. Curve Games launched the solo Round Table RPG on August 6, 2026. Act 2 spoilers. Patch 1.0.8 (11 August) fixed Ligia’s choice lock. Patch 1.0.9 (13 August) did not retune this chain. Keep Known Issues open if a flag refuses to move.
What a clean South Bay run buys
Community route sheets agree on a clean outcome:
- Yannis (quest dumps also spell Yiannis) survives.
- South Bay remains a usable alliance partner for later county math, including the Golden Key ten-county path.
- Ligia of Southbay Gate becomes recruitable — Magic-leaning, Half Mermaid / Coastal tags, meals on Cooking.
A worse family outcome does not automatically delete the whole county. You can still recover politically. You cannot pretend Yannis lived. Do not mix those two sentences when you plan Character Endings.
How the lamp quests actually sequence
South Bay is not one card. It is a follow-up ladder. Missing a deadline often sets a yiannis_alive failure flag instead of a lamp in inventory. Treat every 3-cycle timer as Ligia’s clock, not flavour.
Research the legend (Tower City)
The lamp of old tomes is a Research / Investigation send (community floors around Wit 6, Luck 3, one to two knights, 3 cycles). Success teaches Djinn Island and pays Scholars standing. Failure can mark Yannis as already “resolved” the wrong way. Brunhilda on an Unexpected result has been logged teaching a mermaid cure rumour — useful flavour, not a substitute for the island trip. Pair with Quest Types if Research tags confuse you.
Harbour gossip (Pince Harbor)
The harbor pubs is a night Scouting / Investigation / Crowd card (community Charisma 6, low Wit/Luck, 3 cycles). Success flags that the lamp will be sold at market. Failure again risks the Yannis flag. Do not send Kind-hearted knights if the card is tagged Unethical in your build; read the card, not this paragraph.
Shellington market
The Shellington market continues the Crowd / Water / Investigation line (community Charisma 6, Wit 3). Success can drop an Oyster knife relic and confirm the auction. Legendary lamp at auction is the Relic Recovery / Crowd closer (community Charisma 3, Wit 4, 3 cycles). Win it and the lamp is yours. Fail it and dumps record both stolen and bought-but-lost flavours plus the Yannis flag. This is why Time Rewind exists: the first attempt is often a teaching failure, the same pattern Ligia’s recruit page describes.
Expedition to Djinn Island
When the island is known, Expedition to Djinn Island is a Relic Recovery send with Water, Cave, Woods, Investigation tags. Community tables want about Strength 3 / Agility 3 / Wit 6, two to three knights, and a 3-cycle deadline. Success pays gold, Merchants standing, and the stolen-lamp-known flag that continues South Bay 3. Failure can still touch Yannis. An Ari Unexpected result has been logged finding the lamp on the island — do not count on it; bring Water coverage (Ligia later, Half Mermaid traits, nets) from Quest Catalog.

Kitchen snacks add +0.5 quest score. Feed Préfou or Crêpe if Ligia already sits; otherwise cook the send party on Cooking. Patch 1.0.8 also added a cycle to Grest — still do not run two red timers as one joke.
Ligia after the lamp
Ligia is the former crown-side mage of Southbay Gate. Community portraits put her around Magic 10 / Agility 8 with Daydreamer (−1 Scouting), Scholar, Half Mermaid, and Coastal bonuses. She likes Scouting and Water, dislikes Duels, and hides a Crowd dislike. Romance notes live on Romance Ligia. Multi-romance jealousy around −7 is milder than Ursula’s −20, but Act 2 is still a terrible week to court everyone during Stop the Act 2 Murder.
If the questline freezes after a correct lamp win, update past 1.0.8. Choice-lock reports belong to that build, not to a missing island send.
Alliance versus family
Saving Yannis is the clean alliance. A death timeline can still preserve South Bay as a political partner if later county cards stay green — that is recovery, not a cure. If you need ten counties for Arlin’s Golden Key method, do not assume a failed family week deleted the county forever. Confirm standing on Alliances and Kingdom Map before you spend Demon charges on a second lamp.
