Patch Notes 1.0.11

Patch 1.0.11 is the latest numbered Steam build for Sovereign Tower, published 27 August 2026 for app 4113940. Wild Wits and Curve Games shipped a large bug-fix list plus one kitchen quality-of-life feature and three balance tweaks. As of 28 August 2026 there is no 1.0.12. Bookmark the Updates Hub and pair this page with Cooking, Romance Servants, How to Get Victoria, and Controls.

This is not a new act. The game stays solo-only on Steam for Windows and SteamOS / Linux, Steam Deck Verified, $19.99 with the intro sale already closed. Steam user score remains Very Positive (2,542 of 2,745 reviews, ~93%).

Why 1.0.11 matters

Patch 1.0.10 closed Victoria self-ambush, Yorhav assassination, and several NG+ dialogue collisions. Players then reported Carina romance never firing, Victoria still going on her own Ambush card after recruitment, controller focus loss when the navigation wheel and pause menu overlapped, and a Kitchen that still asked you to remember which plates you had already burned gold on. 1.0.11 hits those remaining day-to-day blockers.

Official notes split into Bugs, New Features, and Other Changes. The feature list is one item. The bug list is the real patch.

New feature — kitchen thumbs

A notification now appears on meals you have already given a knight. Thumbs up means they liked it; thumbs down means they disliked it. Official copy: this is not retroactive for disliked meals you already served. First-time plates still need a spend. After 1.0.11, stop guessing the same Croque twice. Full dish table: Cooking Guide.

Story and romance fixes

ThreadWhat 1.0.11 changes
Carina romanceRomance with the blacksmith can now trigger. If you courted her through annex trust and never saw hearts, replay her forge scenes after updating — Romance Servants.
Victoria’s AmbushYou can no longer send recruited Victoria on the quest Victoria’s Ambush. That leftover card was the cousin of the 1.0.10 self-ambush bug.
Brunhilda TestimonyBrunhilda now auto-assigns to Brunhilda Testimony instead of sitting idle while the card waits.
Gwendan [humble]A demission audience now fires if humble Gwendan hits a very negative affinity — he can leave instead of hanging at −7 with no scene.
Gwendan debt after deathDebt plotline no longer contradicts itself if Gwendan already died.
Lost Child (NG+)Plot stays coherent if Gideon was never recruited on the second reign.
Arlin + AngelicaArlin can no longer duplicate during Angelica’s candidacy dialogue.
EdithSyphon Tag now has a description; you cannot investigate Edith forever after every rumor is heard.
Ultimatum durationSome ultimatum quests lasted more than 1 cycle; they now match the one-cycle design.

UI, controller, and Steam Deck

These are the Deck / keyboard / pad fixes that made 1.0.11 feel like a handheld patch as much as a story patch:

  • Navigation wheel + pause menu no longer steal focus when both are open.
  • Overwriting a save no longer drops controller or keyboard focus.
  • Save / load UI flow is clearer so you do not confirm the wrong slot.
  • Sovereign Archetype animation plays correctly on controller, keyboard, and Steam Deck.
  • Glossary no longer shows inconsistent stat values when two numbers are equal, and the Dismiss icon no longer appears on the Servants tab.
  • Overlapping text, grammar, unlocalized strings, and long Quest Rewards descriptions are cleaned up.
  • Omni-Forward during dialogue had leftover glitches after 1.0.9; those are patched.
  • Incorrect stat hints no longer flash on some cards.
  • Arron portrait alignment is fixed.
  • Cursed Helmet Dulahan no longer breaks fonts in an Ultimatum encounter.

See Controls and Steam Deck.

Balance and other changes

  • Papillon now grants +1 Charisma and −1 Wits in addition to the existing +1 Agility. Remount before Charisma-heavy cards if you used Papillon as a pure speed horse — Consumables and Griffin Taming if you are comparing mounts.
  • Civil war events in Act 3 now have a slightly greater chance of appearing (spoiler-tagged in official notes).
  • Contract spying on Gavault nobles now drops Munster cheese — a new alchemy / cheese path beside the older goat-cheese jokes. See Act 1 Gavault and Consumables.
  • Volga Camp Serial Killer quest options no longer share identical Damage Risk and Stat Requirements — read the card again after updating.
  • People satisfaction now updates correctly during the Rupin workforce grievance.
  • Dainsleif spelling is consistent.
  • Credits no longer call sheep goats.
