Sovereign Tower Demon Power Ending and Corruption
How many rewinds you used changes a separate epilogue after Cycle 45
Demon Power is not the same system as the Cycle 45 main ending. After the Emperor ultimatum resolves War, Peace, Marriage, Surrender, or Tower Destruction, Wild Wits can still play a corruption epilogue about what the crypt pact did to you — then the character slides. Curve Games’ August 2026 release tracks every rewind as +1 corruption. Community ending sheets published through late August agree on three bands. This page is the dedicated landing for players searching Demon Power ending, corruption ending, or how many rewinds is too many.

Three layers at the finale
| Layer | When it plays | What it answers |
|---|---|---|
| Main ending | Cycle 45 conversation (+ optional final quest) | Kingdom versus Empire |
| Demon Power epilogue | After the main close, if you rewound at least once | What the pact did to you |
| Character slides | After that, unless Tower Destruction skipped them | Individual goodbyes |
Tower Destruction is the structural exception: it ends at the next cycle transition, skips both epilogues, and offers no try-again prompt. If you want to see Demon Power at all, do not pick the Golden Key “keep it for myself” destruction close on this save.
Corruption bands
Every crypt rewind raises corruption by one. The epilogue looks at that total only — not at whether the rewind saved a romance or a county.
| Rewinds | What plays |
|---|---|
| 0 | Nothing. You never signed the daily pact in a way the finale counts. |
| 1–19 | The lighter Demon Power version. |
| 20+ | The lighter version and a second, darker scene. |
The writing stays deliberately vague in-game: something shifts in the kingdom and in you. More leans on the Demon, further that shift goes. This wiki will not paste the full prose. The table is enough to plan a “clean” first reign versus a knowledge-drunk completionist run.
Practical planning:
- A first-reign documentary (few rewinds, one style, one romance) lands in 1–19 if you used the crypt at all.
- A secret-knight hunter who rewinds Brunhilda, Goose, Beast Hunt, murder, lamp, and Kutnar can cross 20 before Cycle 45 without noticing. Count Demon visits if you care about the darker scene.
- NG+ stacks knowledge so you need fewer rewinds. Patch 1.0.10 also repaired NG+ dialogue so those second-reign conversations match what you already did — Patch 1.0.10.
How this interacts with main endings
- War / Extended War / Peace / Marriage / Surrender can all show Demon Power if corruption ≥ 1, then slides.
- Peace with Victoria can skip the final battle quest; you still get Demon Power if you rewound earlier in the campaign.
- Surrender in defeat is a darker main close; it does not replace the corruption epilogue.
- Tower Destruction skips Demon Power and slides. Choose it only if you accept a short, brutal credits sting.
Marriage remains Audacious-only at the Emperor table. Demon Power does not unlock Marriage. Completing Love Is All does not change the corruption band.
Mid-act rewinds versus the finale pact
Players confuse three Demon talks:
- Morning crypt rewind — undo a cycle, keep knowledge, raise corruption.
- Act 2 / 3 now-or-never checkpoints (King Slayer, some antagonist locks) — still rewinds, still +1.
- Post-credits satisfaction — NG+ lobby, not an extra corruption tick by itself.
Ursula must speak before Demon Lock dialogue after Patch 1.0.9. That order bug was not a corruption issue; it was a scene gate. Do not rewind twenty times to “fix Ursula” if you have not updated.
Optional Sovereign Mode
Sovereign Mode disables manual saves. It does not disable the Demon. You can still raise corruption. Combine it with a 20+ rewind hunt only if you enjoy pain. Steam Cloud still applies on the standard mode — Settings.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What is the Demon Power ending in Sovereign Tower?
A separate epilogue after the main Cycle 45 close. It only plays if you rewound at least once, and a second darker scene appears at 20+ rewinds.
Does Tower Destruction show the Demon Power ending?
No. Tower Destruction skips the Demon epilogue and the character slides, and it offers no try-again prompt.
Do New Game Plus runs add more corruption?
Each rewind still adds one. NG+ knowledge usually means fewer rewinds, so many second reigns stay in the 1–19 band.
Can I set corruption with a cheat code?
No. See [Codes FAQ](/guides/codes/). Plan rewind count on purpose instead of editing memory.
