Sovereign Tower How to Recruit All Knights
Every recruit path, secret condition, and recruitment cycle for the full 24-knight roster
Sovereign Tower features 24 recruitable knights across a full campaign run, plus additional denizen characters who sit beside the Round Table. This guide documents every confirmed recruitment path, secret unlock condition, and optimal recruitment cycle so completionists can track their roster across multiple playthroughs. Wild Wits and Curve Games launched on August 6, 2026 for Steam; the community continues to verify routes through Steam discussion threads and YouTube playthroughs.
Use this page as a checklist alongside Secret Knights, Knight Roster, and All Endings Guide when planning a True Ending run that requires all 24 recruits.

Starter knights — Cycles 1–3
The five knights who join automatically in Act 0 form your starting Round Table:
Angelica, Gideon, Gwendan, Ligia, and Goberto arrive during the prologue sequence before the first formal Round Table. These five are the baseline — your first decisions shape whether Goberto survives to become a long-term asset or dies for the Dulahan route.
Ursula becomes available from the Map Room for 25 funds as early as Cycle 3, making her one of the earliest optional recruits. Her Tyrannic personality conflicts directly with Gwendan’s Noble Soul — players pursuing Gwendan’s romance or True Noble Soul ending may want to delay Ursula.
Secret knights — Act 1 beast hunt branching
The Beast Hunt in Act 1 Groveshire / Almor is the most consequential early decision point:
Route A — Angelica tames the werewolf → The Wolf joins → Refuse Belladonna’s cure → Rufus joins (transformation)
Route B — Kill the Beast → Silgur joins (Magic-focused knight)
You cannot recruit both Sparky/Wolf/Rufus AND Silgur on the same linear save without using the Demon’s time rewind. The community-recommended approach is to plan a rewind run specifically for the alternate outcome.
Full details: Secret Knights, How to Get Brunhilda, The Wolf.
Act 2 recruits — Gavault and the rebellion
Act 2 introduces the Gavault spy storyline and the Mathilda rebellion, which unlock several late recruits:
Victoria requires either a direct Yohav ambush or a later investigation path. She is one of the strongest late-game knights but her recruitment conflicts with certain Gideon routes.
Tarcus joins through Gavault investigations — specifically, you must swear to stop Brunhilda during his recruitment dialogue. This commitment affects later Act 3 branching.
Childeric requires winning the Almor joust — sending Goberto on this quest prevents Childeric’s recruitment, as community guides document.
Daguez recruits specifically during rebellion unrest by knighting a rebel character during the civil war sequence.
Act 3 and late-game recruits
Arron joins after completing the Dragon Knight storyline — the Draconequin encounter in late Act 2 or early Act 3 is the trigger point.
Epicrate has two documented paths: winning his trial legitimately, or breaking him out without Tarcus’s assistance. The latter is the community-preferred route for players who missed the trial conditions.
Gothild requires either Yohav interrogations or a Victoria ambush in late Act 3. This is one of the most difficult recruits to unlock due to the specific routing required.
Zolta remains under community verification — check dedicated guides for the latest confirmed conditions.
Map Room and emergency hiring
The Map Room provides fallback hiring at 25 funds (sometimes 10 funds early) when story recruits fail or you need specific stat coverage. Seat caps and the no-dismiss rule make every Map Room hire a long-term commitment — see Map Room Hiring for the full economics.
True Ending requirement — all 24 knights
The True Ending (documented in All Endings Guide) specifically requires recruiting all 24 knights at least once across your save file. This makes the full roster a completionist objective, not just a roster diversity goal.
Recommended approach for True Ending hunting:
- First run: Complete a standard campaign, recruit everything organic
- Rewind runs: Use the Demon to backtrack and trigger missed secret conditions
- Lab runs: Route-specific saves for mutually exclusive outcomes (Sparky vs Silgur, Childeric joust)
The Demon exists because Wild Wits expected this kind of experimentation — see Time Rewind for crypt access and Demon Power for rewind limits.

Recruiting all 24 knights is the longest checklist in Sovereign Tower — but the Demon’s time rewind exists precisely so no one has to clear it in a single linear run.
